OTTA's Oktoberfest

OTTA members are invited to enjoy great food and drink, live music (think Oompah and polkas) and much more!

Activities for kids include a bounce house, pretzel chain making and face painting!

The Triangle Center will be filled with friends and neighbors (indoors & outside). Don't miss the festivities!

Great Old Town Triangle Cookie Contest

Where: Old Town Triangle Center, 1763 N. North Park

Who Is Eligible to Participate: All OTTA members

Who Will Be Judging: Five young Old Town cookie monsters

How Will the Cookies be Judged: Each judge will taste every entry in each category and give points based on how the cookies taste and how they look. Judges will be given a full cookie to judge appearance and pieces next to the full cookie for tasting. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each category. They will judge on a five-point scale: 

1 = okay 2 = good 3 = very good 4 = excellent 5 = outstanding

Scores will be tallied and prizes awarded to the cookies with the highest scores. In case of a tie, there will be a runoff and judges will pick their favorite.

What Are the Categories: Entries will be divided into two categories - Drop Cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar cookies, etc.) and Bar, Including Filled Cookies (brownies, lemon bars, sandwich cookies, jam filled cookies, etc.)

Delivery: Just drop the cookies off at the Triangle Center, 1763 N. North Park, on Saturday October 21 anytime after 1:00 PM.

Special Instructions: Please include the name of the baker. Include the name of your cookie and the recipe (It is important to list all ingredients in case anyone has food allergies). Bring cookies in disposable containers or on disposable plates. If possible, bring at least a dozen cookies so we can have two for the judges and the rest for the dessert table.
